In-depth guides and ongoing blog content

Informative, objective, and accurate information on medical alert systems that helps seniors and their families make the right decision with clarity and confidence.

ElderLife Financial offers a variety of financial services to seniors and their families who are looking to ease the transition to senior living and other later-in-life milestones. As a part of the SilverAssist network, ElderLife Financial strives to provide valuable, up-to-date resources to make life easier for seniors and their families, and that includes providing in-depth guides on potentially life-changing products, like medical alert systems.

Armed with a messaging and voice document that outlines the compassionate, understanding, and useful nature of the content, a robust guide of the best medical alert systems was created. Each recommended alert system is listed with its defining feature, with plenty of practical, easy-to-understand advice on how to decide which one is the best choice, positioning ElderLife Financial as a leader in the senior living and care industries.

Headshot of Kurt Tietjen, a leader at ElderLife Financial.

“The work she does upfront to determine what we are looking for from a voice and content perspective does a lot to reduce the edit cycle (which can drive up costs). She understands exactly what we are looking for, writes really good content, works very well with me and my team, and we could not be happier.”

- Online Media Executive and President of High Peak Media, Kurt Tietjen

In-depth research was a key aspect of this project. Before writing, over one dozen medical alert systems were researched in order to narrow down the list to the top five on the market. Each one was identified as being the best in its respective category, like the overall best pick, the best for fall protection, and the best tech-forward system.

Then, in-depth reviews were written with a focus on detailing the positive and negative aspects of each medical alert system. With all of the research and writing done on each individual system, the top-level page was written as an overview of each of the five systems.

This project also included the creation of a buyer’s guide. This guide provides a way to link back to the list of the best medical alert systems, which is good for SEO. It also allows seniors and their families to click on links and conduct further research in order to find the medical alert system that’s right for them.

The buyer’s guide defines what a medical alert system is before outlining important considerations, like the different types of medical alert systems, in addition to aspects of medical alert systems they may not have thought of, like speaker volume and battery life.

Like the list of the best medical alert systems, upfront research was conducted to ensure that every possible important and relevant consideration is included in the guide. Each heading is written with robust information so readers are able to make an informed decision.
